Danny kreeg de eindoverwinning niet kado. Een sterk veld van 18 rijders was naar Zandvoort gekomen en er werd hard gereden.. heel hard. Veel strijd werd geleverd door het hele veld en veel rijders hebben een flinke stap voorwaarts gemaakt. Droog weer en zelfs aangenaam zonnetje in de middag maakte het een geweldige dag.
